How Your Donation Helps Stroke Survivors, Their Family and Caregivers
Those living with the significant changes and losses that come with stroke, almost without exception, find social isolation, financial and health challenges, changes in relationships and other issues which compromise the quality of their lives. The Stroke Support Association serves to diminish the social isolation and improve the meeting of challenges through facilitator-guided discussions in Long Beach, and encouragement from peers. The stroke prevention information offered throughout the sessions strives to reduce risk factors which existed prior to the stroke and to promote knowledge for improving health and quality of life for both stroke survivors and their families.
Programs such as this are rare or non-existent elsewhere. In fact, the Stroke Support Association is the only free weekly support group offering services for both survivors and caregivers in the Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The Stroke Support Association is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that depends upon donations to continue its unique and needed services to people living with stroke. Please support the program services by making a Tax Deductible donation in any amount. You can donate online below or by printing and mailing the donation form.
